There is no humour in this video whatsoever. It takes a special kind of immaturity to think this is good for a laugh.

Obviously the subject matter isn't funny, but the PSA itself is just so bizarre.

I was thinking this too.

First of all, its clearly aimed at educating kids which is a virtually impossible and completely thankless task.

Furthermore, for a PSA which is usually a very short, to the point, quick message this one is pretty long.

This thread is just all kinds of wrong...

Although, I have to admit I was expecting a Mac commercial too.

lol, how do you sign your kid up to do a commercial like that?

OK timmy, today i'm going to take you to an audition for a PSA for child molesting. Let's practice the lines. You say "And then Mr. Mac touched my penis." and look real scared OK?

Not to mention, the actor is practically molesting the kid in the video.

Although, its very versatile, with a couple minor tweaks it could be changed into a PSA on the hazards of drinking paint.

It totally reminded me of those terrible shoplifting videos we had to watch in Elementary and Junior high.

Just super super cheesy, and incredibly bizarre.

and photon gets it right. i wasn't laughing at the subject matter, but like so many of those PSA videos from the 80's it's just messed up. like when those work safety commercials first came out and i saw the one with the chick being burned with hot oil i bust out laughing because of how extreme and insane the video was. same thing here, when Mr. Mac spilled paint all over the kid it just went overboard

Come on, that video is hilarious.

"Slowww and steady...."

Don't think anyone is trying to say sexual abuse is funny. You can laugh at the medium without laughing at the message.

I too thought PC was finally getting Mr. Mac back for years of harassment.

Do you think Mrs. Mac ever wondered why Mr. Mac spends so much money on paint?

What a ridiculous video.

"I had paint all over me, it made sense."

Clearly this kid's decision making abilities let him down.

What he should have done is blackmailed the old man out of his social security cheques.

Some have missed the plot entirely.
The PSA isn't an actual boy getting molested, its an enactment which is cheezey, lame and tackily produced. So people are laughing at the production.
Those that can't see the difference are being a bit dim on this one IMO.

Alright, I am at home now. While there is nothing funny about child abuse that commercial is so over the top I had a chuckle.
