"Frozen ice crystals found off the shores of Canada, Japan, Russia, Iceland and other nations with Northern shores contain vast quantities of clean, frozen hydrogen"
Hydrogen is scary...
It is soooooooo much more explosive than petroleum products. Frozen Hydrogen? Whoever wrote this test is ######ed, I am fairly confident that you would not find solid chunks of hydrogen anywhere on earth...

The melting point of hydrogen is −259.14C, which I'm fairly confident doesn't occur naturally anywhere on the planet. The hydrogen is 'entrapped' in frozen crystals.
Maybe this test is a trick. If you score 100 and really think your a free thinker, then your gullible.

Your GF score is 70 = Learner.
Quite the ambiguous quiz there. And the little agenda it totes around, so precious.

That is exactly the same score I received, and I too found this so-called "quiz" far too ambiguous. Is there a connection?

I scored 76, top 5%, blah blah blah on the test.
But it really is the Worst Quiz Ever. I love his explanation for the "there is no cure for cancer" question:
Quote:
The U.S. cancer industry simply doesn't want anyone to know cures exist because it profits from the management of cancer (i.e. dependence on drugs, chemo, radiation, etc.). Promotion of alternative cures would deprive the U.S. cancer establishment of its power and profits.
|
In a recent thread, I posted something similar, as follows:
Quote:
there's a massive conspiracy perpetrated by the medical-industrial complex to keep herbal/alternative remedies from gaining popular acceptance.
|
Of course, I WAS VERY OBVIOUSLY BEING SARCASTIC!

Clicking all "false" without reading any questions beyond #3 produced 82.

They lost me at the "naturally occurring" Vitamin E vs. "artificial"; it's the SAME THING. Molecules don't remember where they came from, once you have the end product, it's the same no matter whether manufactured or merely extracted. I got 85 but it's a test that is designed to make you believe in their version of "free-thinking".
Here's my three question test that's much more accurate:
Do you think that there are phenomena that not only are not explained by science, but cannot be explained by science?
True/Not Sure/False
It's impossible to use logic to arrive at a true answer from false premises.
True/Not Sure/False
You cannot argue with a person's beliefs.
True/Not Sure/False
Give yourself 3 points for each true, 2 for each Not Sure, 1 for each False.
8-9 points: Critical thinking is not your forte.
5-7 points: You are a bit credulous, no more than most people.
3-4 points: You exhibit signs of clear-headedness which undoubtedly cause the general population to shun you.

reading some of the explanations makes me
it reminds me of my get rich quick scheme which im sure may appeal to the huddled masses...
the plan is to go on tv and tell people that I can show them how to get people to send them 29.99.
To learn the secrets all you need to do is send me 29.99!!!
just think of all the money you could make

That test was too obvious, basically every single answer was clearly gonna be "false". After the first 10 I saw the pattern forming, and just clicked "false" for the rest without even reading them. Apparently I'm in the top 5%. Such subjective questions too, what a stupid quiz. Get a job, hippy!

I must object, I'm afraid that I do not find your test that much better a barometer for critical thinking skills (is this the opposite of gullibility?).
First, I still find question one a little vague. How do we define "phenomena"? Can abstractions be classified as phenomena?
Also, I'm not sure that I understand question #3: Are you asking whether or not one can effectively challenge a person's belief? Are you asking whether or not we can debate personal beliefs? Or, are you asking whether or not one can change a person's beliefs through argument? And what kinds of beliefs are these? Because obviously my belief in the electromagnetic force and my belief in God cannot be addressed in the same manner.

Gullibility Factor test? More like Conspiracy & Propaganda Factor test.
American history, as taught to American schoolchildren, is more a collection of lies and distortions than actual history.
What an exaggeration. Unless that history consists of the earth being 6000 years old, this is just asinine.
There is absolutely no requirement that surgical procedures be proven safe or effective before being performed on any number of patients.
There is no way that can be true. I don't care what "Natural News" has to say about it. In fact they use this natural news for several sources. Yup they must have figured everything out.
EDIT: Ha! I just noticed that natural news is hosting the test. They referencing themselves. Idiots.
I'm surprised they didn't say that fluoride is communist mind control drug.
There are, in fact, many proven cures for cancer used all around the world with excellent results. Nearly every indigenous culture has at least one cure for cancer, including the American Indians, Australian Aboriginees, Peruvian natives, and so on. The U.S. cancer industry simply doesn't want anyone to know cures exist because it profits from the management of cancer.
And that is where this "test" falls off the face of this flat earth for me. Anyone who believes that is gullible. The fact that someone beliefs this is quite upsetting for me and whoever is promoting this garbage makes me sick.

Somebody should forward this to Michael Moore. There's about 15 "documentary" ideas in there for him.
