The upholstery didn't look that great. Standard vinyl crap they put in boats these days. Mind you the restoration was quite good.

I also immediately thought Diversity for a name for her once she's all prettied up; Foreboding ain't bad either.


I'd love to own an old, old wooden ship when I grow up...

that old restored boat is pretty sick, classic chevy-esq parts all over it make it pretty tight.

I've done a little boat finishing. This is my canoe. I built it a few years ago.

PM if you'd like to discuss anything even remotely associated to boat building. Your project sounds great.

Wow! Nice. Add a yoke and it would be my dream canoe.

I restored a cedar and canvas canoe built by a Quebec company in the 60's. It's terrible to solo and the rivers here are way too shallow compared to Ont and PQ and I am scared of ruining it on rocks.

I miss the canoe trips we used to do in Algonquin and Tremblant Parks.
