Is a $120 pillow really that much better than a $20 one?
I guess I've never found pillows survive a washing all that well, so I usually buy the cheap ones and then throw them out after a year or so.

If anyone ever catches me paying $120 dollars for a single pillow, size me up for a straight jacket.

I have a water pillow. You fill the bottom up with water. Got it from my physiotherapist, as it is supposed to reduce neck pain. Must say, works like a charm.

It popped in bed. That'd be a lot of water. I gotta ask - who slept in THAT wet spot?

Why does the hooker always end up dead in the hotel bathroom?

I got my pillow at IKEA. I love it. They have a whole range of different qualities, but they're all well below 120 dollars. I think I paid 50 for mine, and I've had it about five years.

So, because of the high specific heat capacity of water, does the pillow stay cool longer? Can't stand a warm pillow, so that might be something to look into...

Yes theres a huge difference between a cheap pillow and a good pillow. Its like leather seats compared to cloth I guess. One is alot more luxurious. Trust me. It's like bedsheets. Cheap bedsheets suck. I like a nice bed, so lock me up.

Pacific Coast pillows are the best. They are quite expensive however. On the other hand, the last Pacific Coast pillow I had lasted me two years. These are available at Sears and L'n'T.
Daniadown sells a pretty inexpensive feather filled pillow that's lasted me okay. They aren't nearly as fluffy as the Pacific Coast ones.
I'm currently using synthetic filled pillows I bought from Costco. They're junk. I completely destroyed one in about a month (the filling got lumpy). I hate synthetic pillows - I've never found one that didn't get lumpy after a few weeks.
If you're looking for a pillow that stays cool during the night, you pretty well have to go with down.

I can't believe that a forum supporting one of the toughest team in hockey has a 2-page conversation on pillows... Only right way to use any is the Mbb way:

Mine are Pacific Coast too. They should last you years, just wash them and put a tennis ball in the dryer with them to dry.

I actually don't think we have fun so i would recomend for normal priced pillows The Bay, Sears, Linens and things etc.
But for high end more impressive pillows talk to your Chiropractor( If you don't have one) Any orthopedic or health and wellness stores will have them.

Costco has a memory foam pillow for $40. I got a $90 from HBC and I love the thing, doesn't 'donut' like the usual cheapo ones I get.
