Ive been outside of Canada for awhile I donno if its still avaliable but before the days of red bull, i used to drink Hansens Energy, it was in the same size as todays red bulls, and it came in a green can. Even when red bull came out i always thought it worked, much, much better. I realise this is a little intense but i used to
drink one during the stretch and warm up
one after the on ice warm up
one after the first
and one after the second
that in turn with your trainer feeding you sutafeed like its vitamins will get your legs moving.
In reality....if you can find one can of that Hansens Energy crap you should be flying for a day at work tho...

None of these energy drinks do anything for me. I've had some before that actually make me even more tired, despite claiming that they wouldn't. Especially those 5 hour energy shots. I almost fell asleep at the wheel after taking that.

Personally, I am not interested in energy drinks. If I need to wake up, I'll have a coffee. If I'm playing sports, I use this new, fancy drink called water!
I just think all that sugar and caffine can't be doing anything good for one's health.

Agreed, for the most part. If I need a real quick pick-me-up while driving (I tend to get dopey and sleepy when I drive long distances) I'll grab one of them. But otherwise, they just make me too jittery, and like you said - NOT good for you. there's a reason they say right on the can to limit your intake of those in a day. Generally speaking, natural is best.

lol. Coffee has a LOT more caffeine than Red Bull. Who care if it's natural or not, is "natural caffeine" healthier?

A caffeine pill works quite well too.

Full Throttle for me, I like the taste the best. The black can, not those crazy tropical flavors. I find it also goes well with Vodka :P

Frankly, I hardly like the things. The only energy drinks I've ever sampled are Red Bull (one was enough for me to never want it again), Beaver Buzz (actually not bad) Rockstar (meh, it was alright) and BooKoo (Awesome. BooKoo+Whipped Cream+Liquor= One helluva night haha).

Yes! But you gotta go with the blue Gatorade. I drank that all summer at work. Warm gatorade and lukewarm water mixed roughly half and half. Great dethirstifyer.

Lived on energy drinks for quite a while, not a big fan of coffee. The "best", by far and away, is Spike. You must be 18 to buy it down here. Just ridiculous amounts of B vitamins and caffeine. Drinking one 8 oz can makes you feel like you've just done an 8ball. We had a problem down here after a HS passed them out for free and several kids ended up in the hospital.

I just try to get my 8 hours every night and wake up at around 6:30. I do just fine that way.

I think I saw hansens around. It works great AND I loved the taste. In my opinion quite a bit better than most other energy drinks. I could drink that stuff like water if it didnt cost an arm and a leg.
