I just hate seeing people pay big money for a 5 minute job.
I work with a single Mom who paid a plumber $75 to replace a washer in her outdoor faucet. She told me after the fact. Some people just can't afford to do that sort of thing every time something goes wrong.
I guess if you can afford to do that, then more power to you, and you will go out with well manicured fingernails.

I hear you DuffMan, but lots of folks can get in way deeper trouble monkeying around with things they don't understand too because they are afraid of dropping a few bucks.

I like the approach of talking to the neighbours though. That's a good lead.
