Haha yeah I should move out of the way for speeders. Kiss my ass, if you want to break the law I'm not going to bend over and make it more convenient for you.
I guess I should leave my door open for burglars too.

I wish I knew who you were so that I could NOT hold the door open as you follow me in a store, or NOT leave enough space for to to parallel park.
You're not going to "bend over" to make it more convenient. Nobody's asking you to bend over. Just use the left lane to pass and then go back to the middle lane. Don't drive the same speed as the middle lane when in the left. Why is this so hard to grasp?

And your burglar comment is just a cherry on top. You've got that classic attitude that somehow, me being in front of you is some kind of injustice. I bet you slowly shuffle behind slow walkers and handicapped in malls as well, right?

The best is when 3 or 4 of them walk shoulder to shoulder and block the whole sidewalk. But that is their right, right Out of the Cube?

It sure as hell is. But I don't expect them to move out of the way because I want to walk faster, I'll find my own way around.

So you advocate people weaving over to the right lane and zipping by?

Sure, I didn't see it written in the driving rules that "thou must only pass on the left side".

my guess on how you would achieve that is to step on the road and pass on the left right? Does that mean 4x4 should just pass you on the shoulder of deerfoot if you are going to be that guy and go 100 in the left thinking your special?

Dude, you aren't even worth arguing with. This is, quite possibly, the stupidest thing I've read on this forum. Good day.

Or he could go into the middle lane to pass...?
Plus I'd hardly be the one with a feeling of entitlement by following the speed limit. It's those who break it that somehow feel they're above everybody else.

Why, is that against your fantastical rules of the road? Where speed limits are suggestions and it doesn't matter where anyone else is going, what you're doing is way more important?

your right, passing in the middle lane where everyone else is going 100 is the way to go. When there is a car in the middle i will make another lane change over to the right lane to get past the can in the middle, promptly swing another to get into the middle hoping the gap is just long enough to get past you and maybe get to a point where i can comfortably go the speed i want to.
What i don't get, is why you think that you driving in the left lane on deerfoot isn't a safety hazard for everyone on the road. Jackasses that make 15 lane changes cutting people off to get past one car are because of your attitude. If you want to go the speed limit, hop into the middle lane and make the road safer for everyone.

Actually, you would be. It's called courtesy, and it is something that is woefully lacking on freeways like Deerfoot. Frankly, I find the jerk riding the left lane - even if he is doing the speed limit or a little above - to be as big a nuisance as the moron weaving through traffic.
In both cases, you are behaving as if you own the road, and the other people around you don't matter.

Hate to break it to you, buddy, but you're the one sporting that craptastic attitude. You're oblivious to road etiquette.
But whatever. I wont change your point of view on a messageboard nor you, mine. So I'm done with you.

LAWS supercede etiquette. And if I'm in your way because you're breaking the law, I don't owe you anything.

Whoa^^
Why is patience hard to come by, I drive fast, my record proves it. I also know that if there is a slower moving vehicle ahead of me I turn on my left indicator and patiently wait for them to make room.
OR
I aggressively cutoff the car in right lane, change over to the far right lane, accelerate to 190, pass everyone, aggressively change back to the far left lane cutting off more cars getting in front of the slow poke in the left lane and slam on my brakes. Screaming like a banshee the whole while..."This is my road, and my rules!"
Which ever is easier at the time.

And I thought that the whole point of this thread was because we had proven in previous that the LAWS say slower traffic keep right; and that Deerfoot had been the exception until now.
Law says pass on the left. Law says slower traffic keep right. Courtesy also agrees with those laws.
