Many Private companies in Alberta have a 9 stats a year policy now and they'll give workers the option of working Family day or taking a long weekend in August. Eveyone at my work chose to come to work today in favor of a day off in August today. Funny, it's really not that bad out today.

Today could be nicer than the long week-end in August!

Good grief! I've always done my taxes and still do them the old fashoined way with a pencil and an eraser to fix my numberous mathematical mistakes

Well there you go 9 stat hollidays! Unless you get Boxing day too. Actually for a couple years I used to give us Family day and the August long weekend after the company I was working for first relocated from B.C. not knowing the difference themselves. Than they read the labour code, and went back to 9 stats. Unfortunately I've looked around....drafting is a cheap cheap bussiness and no one else gives you more than 9 and no one pays you for Boxing Day either. Stupid crappy job, serves me right for having no ambition.
