Renewing Your License: How Long?

The problem was that with registries being private, some were doing "favours" for friends by cooking up a license for them. Legit ID for a person's name who did not exist.

Rather than coming down hard on the guilty parties, they make the rest of us suffer.

And yes, I mean suffer. For example I decided to go on a trip to the US. I couldn't renew my license until I had my passport secured; just in case there were issues with that. Once the passport came in I applied for my license; as my current one was due to expire 1 day after I was to get back. (Too close for my liking for the timing.) Luckily I made it with a day to spare.

I just did this and mine came in 4 working days...

If it matters, it was at the registry on 17th ave and 26th st. se

I went right away, oddly enough, couldn't find my original license in my wallet, even though it was just there, and got told I might have it in a week which would be perfect.
