Honestly, if you're married, making your significant other see this movie should be grounds for divorce.

My pleasure. God told me that anyone who does not like this movie is a "demon" and that I am supposed to "destroy" them.

Still not worth it. This is one you need to put your foot down on. I made sacrifice on behalf of all men.

Wow this thread makes me appreciate my girlfriend we went to see Sweeney Todd (which was also a awful movie) and the trailer for this movie came on

She was more outraged with it than me, I loved this line from her

"I swear the only reason they make these movies is so mediocre actors can get paid to take a tropical vacation because they know this time next year they will be in rehab for eating disorders, or crack"

Time to Kill, Lonestar, U-571 and Amistad were all solid flicks with McConaughey.

No.

Is that actually true that the Hottie and Nottie movie grossed $25 000? That's about 2000 tickets sold.

McConaughey's supporting role in Contact wasn't bad either.

The high concept comedy opens in 100 theatres in select cities on Friday.
So an average of 20 tickets per theatre if true. (This guy also gave the movie a "fresh review" on RT).

Haha good to know bud, I hear that. My girl's pretty leniant on dragging me to chick flicks, I've been dating her for over a year now and finally had to sit through my first one two weeks ago. It was "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days", with both McCaugnahey and Hudson also as the leading characters in this one too. I don't even know where to begin...

Yeah I almost got dragged to this but I saw the reviews for it and that was an instant no.

As people mentioned he was great in A Time to Kill (one of my top 5 favorite movies ever). I believe someone also mentioned Dazed and Confused which was good.

People never mentioned We Are Marshall. I thought he did a very good job in that as well.

How to lose a guy in ten days is a good Rom-Com, my wife and I really like that one, but even she (and I) wouldn't touch fool's gold with a ten foot pole, it just looked RIDICULOUS.

The Wedding Planner is also a bearable chickflick starring Matthew McConaughey.

EDTV, Reign of Fire and Two for the Money were Bearable.

He was good in U571, We are Marshall, Contact, and A Time to Kill.
