Haha! I am never going to hear the end of that I am? I can just see it now. Someone stubs their toe, or gets a hangover, or get syphilis and they'll say "well if you would have booked the right hotel this wouldn't have happened."

These are great suggestions guys, keep'em coming.
There is only a couple things that I definitely want to do, and the rest is all open. One of those is going to see Penn & Teller. And I want to pick up an iPhone when I'm down there. And how perfect is this? Apple just released the 16GB iPhone.
Also I would like to check off every sin, which shouldn't be too hard.

Kill whomever needs killing to get Row 4 or 5 seats for "Ka."
Take that roller coaster at New York, New York.
And, unlikely I'll admit considering the crowd you're with, go for a long run out past the Mandalay on a sunny morning.

Oh- another thing for the geeks in the group..... go see the Star Trek Experience in the Las Vegas Hilton. There should be coupons in the back of the taxi cabs.
Worth every penny. Even my non-Trekkie friends liked it. I won't spoil it for you, but there's one point where you step onto the trasporter and get "beamed." Um, let's just say I'm pretty sure they are using 24th century technology, because I'm sure I got beamed.

We can probably do that in the first night. Paying kermitology back half a star should knock off about 3 or 4 sins for ya.

the Hoover dam drive is cool, and soon you won't be able to drive over it as they're building a huge overpass. A helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon is pricey, but awesome.

Well I used this guy and he sent me a bunch of coupons, they worked beautifully, we got into all the clubs we tried no line, no cover and no hassles. "Right this way sir"
http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZlasvegashookups
I ordered them far enough in advance that he just mailed them to me, but I think he is willing to meet up and do an exchange when you get to vegas.
Additionally, figure out where you want to go the moment you arrive before hand...take carry on luggage ONLY! that way you jump off the plane and can actually get a cab, because you don't have to wait in line for luggage like all the other chumps. Then you hit your hotel, drop your bags and there is no:
"Sooo... whaddya wanna do?"
"I dunno, you pick"
"I don't know what to do... lets go look around"
No none of that #%!$, you drop your bags and your on your way to the playboy club, with plans of going to the moon mere minutes after getting off the plane... you can "look around" the next day when your hung over. Your first and only objective upon arrival should be getting to a place with many boobies and lots of liquor. If a guy cannot survive 4 days on a carry on baggage alone he is gay.
lol
have fun!

From what I've heard, sometimes it's cheaper to rent a limo from the airport to your hotel than it is to call a cab...

I think our cab cost us 10 bucks maybe 15, the airport is only a few blocks from the strip. and given the size of the buildings looks even closer.

Listen to MadMan ... he knows how to party in Vegas. Don't forget to hit Batista's for all you can drink wine out of shot glasses. If you're going to the Palms for the Playboy Club, Moon and Rain you can't forget Ghostbar, my 2nd home the last time I was down there.
I would also recommend gambling at only one chain of casinos and make sure you sell them your soul (get a players card). That way, they offer you lots of incentives to go back. This holds true even at the Wynn ... you can get free rooms for less than $2000 in rated play.

If you guys are looking for a good steak, go to Allen Albert's. Very nice atmosphere and courteous staff. Best poker places were Caesar's, the Orleans (off the strip), and MGM Grand. Bellagio's poker room isn't worth it unless you're a high-roller. The staff is very unfriendly.
Make sure you hit up a couple of Fat Tuesdays stands and get a Cat 5 Hurricane. There's one in the Forum shops at Caesar's and another one at the MGM that I'm aware, but I've heard there's more.

For the best experience, the WYNN has the most waitressess per player, I suggest you go there and get a load of drinks...
Also go to walgreens and buy a 6 pack of beer, take the beer into the casino and start playing, then when the waitress comes by you can always refill your 6 pack,, some casino's will let you do this...
Don't give money to bums sitting outside the casino... Most of them make more money that day than you will....
Go to the piano bar in New york New York,,, awesome experience.

I like renting a car when I'm down there as you can go to the outlet malls, and to the casinos out on the edge of town and downtown much more easily that way, plus if you are cabbing it all over town it ends up being considerably cheaper.
I like the Orleans for poker as someone said - lots of tables in the back, and the clientele is more blue-collar than the snooty pokerstar wannabes at some other places. Blackjack you get better rules and cheaper limits downtown, although the Orleans also has some decently priced tables, as well as any of the Station chain of casinos.
Take one day and just walk from one end of the strip to the other, going into each hotel - it is so over the top in some places you won't believe it. Also go downtown one night and see the Fremont laser show, which is on the street where all the casinos are down there.
If you guys are looking to hook up with the ladies, Friday and Saturday night all the California girls drive/fly in, hit the clubs, then go gambling till 3 or 4 in the morning - so depending on your level of attractiveness, either cruise the clubs in the evening or catch 'em when they are drunk after midnight. You can usually tell the hookers 'cause they aren't drunk - so don't waste your time, unless of course you prefer the professional experience...
Oh yah and go to IN'N'OUT BURGER which is on Tropicana just past the freeway - that place is burger heaven, a notch even above Fatburger (which is on the strip, but there is one here so I dunno if it's worth going there especial).
Oh yah and I'll probably be driving thru there on the 22nd - which sounds like it'll be after you guys are gone...

Yes. If you guys are calling this a CP trip then you have to go here, no question about it. It's called Iginla's Goal Avenue. Here is the article from the Herald http://www.canada.com/calgaryherald/...c858ea&k=40418 . This is your mission.

If it's brand new then it probably uses the 1.1.3 operating system. You better check whether you will be able to jailbreak this for use in Canada.

Sounds like they put everyone in a giant microwave for a few seconds while they change the backdrop on your surroundings...

Lots of cities are like this really. My buddies and I took limos all over Manhattan because we got fixed prices that worked out to be better than cab fares. It's pretty sweet cruising around NYC in a limo.
