I've got a massive penny jar back home, and a dish with about $4-5 worth of nickels and dimes. I'm pretty good about spending my change as long as its a quarter and up. I rarely leave it in my pants when they hit the wash. Right now I have a huge stack of 1p and 2p coins on my dresser... seriously who thought having a 2 pence coin was a good idea. 1p coins didn't annoy them enough?

I don't carry cash as a policy. Sometimes I'll end up with a toonie at the end of the day or whatever but that quickly disappears when I get my morning coffee the next day.

I hate stuff in my pockets. More than my keys and my cellphone drives me nuts. I even keep my atm card, visa, and driver's license in my breast pocket, not even in a wallet. Unwanted bulk in my pockets.

OK, maybe insane is a strong word, but it conveys how strongly I feel that you are a richer man than you think!

I do that too, but my problem is that the rest of the family treats it as their own personal ATM so nothing larger than a dime ever collects.

The best found money score i ever made was a $50 dollar bill hid in a second hand book I bought. That was the best book I ever bought ... can't remember what it was about though.

I have $3.28 in my pocket in change right now. Over the course of the day I'll get enough to buy a hot dog at the game tonight. It comes, it goes. When I have too much change jingling around, I put it in one of the charity or tip boxes at a coffee shop.

No change in my pants...

About 20 bux worth of loonies, toonies and quarters.

I have two of those Molson canadian Bubba kegs that I have converted into banks.

All my nickels, dimes, pennies go in there.

I have one full one and am halfway into my second.

I have no idea how much money is in there.

This used to be such a pleasant surprise. Finding money in the couch or jackets or pant pockets. No idea when it had made it's way there either.

But for years now I haven't carried cash. I very rarely have change of any kind. If they ever and I think they will convert over to a chip in your hand(or wherever) as your means of identification and moolah I'm going to find the transition a very easy one. Fact is I'd love to lose the wallet carrying around days.

Bring on the technology -- save the paper(trees) and the metals.

I usually change my pants regularly and don't ever wear the same two days in a row!

LOL! You serious? It's funny either way. That's how I read the title every time I click the OT board.

When I was a kid I would hide $20 bills in obscure places around my room for the purpose of forgetting all about them.

Months later I would randomly rediscover the bills. Boy, what a thrill. It was like finding treasure!

Reading your story though... I'm starting to think it was a dumb idea.

I usually have little piles of change laying around for the exact same reason, it tends to fall where my jeans/pants do.

Blasted two legged atrocities.
