back then you could have just gone to Toys & Wheels for all those sweet toys. Oh Toys & Wheels, how I miss you! I remember every single toy my parents bought me there from 1986-1993.

As for this article, sadly I don't think Canadian TV is even up to the standards of some of the worst American shows. They are very generic. I don't think they well do very well.

The first few seasons of Trailer Park Boys were awesome. I kinda stopped watching it after some episodes got too stupid.

Isn't Ron Barge(Buckshot) still active as an entertainer in Calgary. He could get his sidekicks Benny the Bear and Clyde the Owl back together and sell them some real quality Canadian, Albertan, Calgarian TV!!!

Kidstreet was filmed in Vancouver, that I'm almost sure of.

My friend and his sister were on it when they were kids. Their mom is a lawyer, and totally set them up with a strategy so they got every question right. They ended up winning, it was hilarious!

This is off wikipedia, but not cited, so could be wrong:

"Kidstreet was produced by Blair Murdoch at CFAC/CKKX in Calgary, Alberta, and aired on various CanWest Global and WIC stations in Canada"

I used to LOVE this show... The opening theme is like a time machine that brings me back 20 years.

No, I just watched the credits sequence, it was filmed in Calgary at the Calgary Television Centre and contestants stayed at the Marlborough Inn. This was 1989 though, maybe it was filmed in Vancouver at another time? I am dead certain it was in Calgary all those years because I took great pride in seeing that in the credits when I was a kid for several years watching it at 8:00AM before school on weekdays.

Littlest Hobo was already depressing to me. I prefer Harriet's Magic Hats!

Kidstreet was definitely filmed in Calgary. I had a friend that was on it, and I played hockey against the "host". I remember trying to run him through the boards because we all thought he was a "preppy" who looked down on us farm kids from out of town.

Trailer Park Boys would be awesome to see in US primetime....it would give Americans a great false reality of Canadian trailerparks. Not only would they think we're dog sled driving eskimos, but cheeseburger lovin, shopping cart stealing alcoholics!!!

Wow I thought Kidstreet was filmed in Vancouver....I guess I'm wrong! But that does make sense since my friend lived in Calgary at the time.

I don't think there's any Calgary-born twenty and thirty-somethings that don't know the Kidstreet theme. Its contagious!

EDIT: From Wikipedia:

"Kidstreet was the only game show produced by Blair Murdoch outside CKVU Vancouver BC."

I knew there was a Vancouver connection!!

Yeah, I've always wondered how well Trailer Park Boys does in the American market... still boggles me as to how this was produced in Canada!
