The Spicy Hut is the best Thai restaurant I've ever been to, for sure.

There's a place in motel village, I think it's called Thai Place. It's a really weird setting for a Thai restaurant as it borders the hotel pool but it is really good.

The King and I seemed like some kind of anglo interpretation, there weren't even any Asian people working there. It's good, but a bit pricey and doesn't seem as authentic as some of the other ones I've been to.

I just took some Thai cooking classes. I asked our instructor for 3 recommendations. I researched them out and found that John Gilchrist gave them great reviews too, in fact, the Thai Boat was his best new restaurant just a few years ago.

1. Bangkoknoi thai restaurant

1324 Centre St NE, Calgary
(403) 277-8424

2. Thai Boat
108, 2323 32nd Avenue NE
(403) 291-9887

3. Rhun Thai
101, 1324 11th Avenue SW

Like i said before, it is not comparable to 'the real thing' because it is not Thai food.

It is 'Anglo Thai-inspired food' at best.
