I really hope he does want to become a Jay. I just hope the Jays didn't scare him off when they screwed Koskie over with their BS after he took a hometown (country) Discount to play for them.

Still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth the way they handled that. Granted, Koskie did injure himself (likely career ender, though he is trying to make a comeback now) after the trade.

Koskie has a wierd brain defect. He had a sac of fluid pressing against his cerebrum which burst (thus causing his injury). This fluid goes down the spinal cord and hardens, which can cause paralysis.

It also causes interference with brain transmissions and can cause him to not be able to use his hands/arms/legs etc.

One of the girls in my class is his cousin and has the same issue (it's hereditary)

A fellow Mariners fan?

I wish their fan forum would allow new registrations.

Hopefully it will with the recent upgrade they're doing.

I'm kind of a casual fan. I've only seen one mariner game live, but I was watching and cheering hard for them to make the post season last year. It seems anyone whose into baseball in Canada cheers for the Jays. I can't stand the Jays, i'd much rather cheer for the Mariners. If they made the postseason this year, which is a good possibility, i'd be glued to my TV! When baseball is on it means it's nice outside (generally)!

The Mariners are the team of choice for British Columbians, fwiw.

We get all their games on basic tv and are only a few hour drive (Vancouver) or a 2 hour ferry (Victoria) away.

Definitely more Mariners fans than Jays fans here.

Good to hear.

Mariners play-by-play guys have made a habit of welcoming the fans from BC.
