If you don't like what you get for your $1.50 go spend $7 at Starbucks

i've never understood that, why is EVERY tims in this city so ridiculously busy? i just don't get it, is the coffee that good that you have to wait 10-15 minutes in line just to get it? and their food is nothing special to behold, i can get a better sandwich at a subway and soup is just well, soup. the dough nuts i can sort of appreciate, but everytime i get the urge for a box of timbits all it takes is a glance at that lineup and the craving goes away

Joking aside... yes there is something wrong with that. The Tims drive thru line up get so damn long is because of people like you who refuse to leave their car because you don't want to or because its cold or because its this and that. Its the selfish people who always think about themselves and not about the people behind them that just want something quick and be well on their way. Honestly, if everyone does what they want to, the world would be an f-ing disaster, think about that!
If you go drive through, please, only drinks and a few easy to make/grab items please, it makes everything go SO MUCH faster. If you have a big order like that leave your car for a bit, go inside and order it and if you need help carrying it out ask, more often than not, someone behind the counter will be able to help.
|
holy crap, talk about whiny bitches. The drive thru is there so i don't have to get my ass out of the car, if they don't want me to order whatever the hell i want, they can turn it into a beverage only lane.
I often order those breakfast sandwiches through the drive thru, sue me because i don't want to get out of my car.

I wonder why Timmy's doesn't have two lines - an express or "coffee only" drive thru/line and a "food/big order line".
Would speed things up for everyone. Right now major orders slow down the entire works.

They really do need a beverage only lane. I often pray that the people ordering their lightly toasted bagels and creamcheese get the brain cancer as soon as they leave the drive thru. I order black coffee. That's it. A beverage only lane would make me happy in the lap area.

See... that is fine with me... because those breakfast sandwiches don't take long to make if u're ordering one, but if u're ordering like 5 of them, then I'd be quite pissed.

How is this different than any other drive through?
just because they sell coffee? ANY menu item can be bought through the window, and if it is 1 order or 5, its the same thing.

I quit going to Tim's a long time ago. Their meals are average at best, their donuts aren't fresh anymore, and I like my coffee black anyways. The clincher though was the rude employees. If companies want my business they have to at least not be rude to customers.

Try working at a Tims and filling that order in a minute and a half... you'll see what I mean.
I had a boss really strict on the "standards" of Tim Hortons... we get yelled at if we're even slightly slower...

I personally have had no bad Tim Hortons experiences outside of the odd dry donut.

Since I drink coffee black, I usually don't go there for coffee. Their coffee sucks unless it is loaded with cream and sugar.
I did go there to get some donuts for the office a while ago and it was quite frustrating. I asked for a box of assorted glazed timbits at the drive-thru and ended up getting just assorted - glazed and otherwise. So I went back through the drive-thru and asked them to make them assorted AND glazed. They handed me a box of timbits that were all chocolate but glazed. I seriously had to ask the girl if she was purposely screwing with me.

Indeed.
This is why I rarely brave the queue at Gulf Canada Square. The lineup there is insane. And you're right - is it THAT good? I feel like I'm an a Russian breadline when I wait at the GCS Tim Horton's but then I remember I am volunteering my time to wait for something that I could get some place else in less time.
And thanks to those photos I'll never look at timbits the same way again.
*snap* Why's it called a belt?

Hey, at least they were willing to sell you the Timbits. I asked for the last six of a specific type of donut once, and the kid wouldn't sell them to me because "then I'll have to make some more." I couldn't believe it ... all I could do was laugh.

One of the maor issues with the whole notion of 'customer service' is that it imbues in people the idea that they are somehow entitled to everything they want, exactly the way they want, and that if they don't get what they want they can treat another human being like crap.
I have exactly no problems with telling rude or angry customers that they need to leave my buisness and they can't come back. If they have a legitimate concern, if we have screwed up or inconvenienced them I'll bend over backwards for them IF they treat me with just a smidgen of respect. An awareness that mistakes happen and that we're all people is all that is needed. Come at me screaming and foaming at the mouth and expect to get absolutely no effort in resolving your issue.
And I work with live-events. Ever seen the look on someone's face after you tell them "No, you're not getting into this show tonight," and then tear up their tickets?

You could spend $7 on one of those fruitty coffees. Or you could spend a couple bucks and get a coffee that has some taste. Not the recycled dishwater that Timmy's passes off for coffee.

Not you Ford Perfect, but the kid who wasn't willing to sell them to you.

lol...whats wrong with calling it a single single? singles instead of doubles
i took a look at the group and honestly...some of the rules definitely come off as being pretty bitchy. who cares if i say decaf before or after? you're getting mad because of how i phrase it when i order? get a life, lol.
if i want a coffee with no sugar and i'm not allowed to say no sugar then what am i supposed to say? one minus one sugar? the sum of -5 plus 5 sugar please? a black coffee with cream but not that other sweet stuff?
and when i go to the window they always say one moment please...so why can't I say the same to you
(things like people ordering bigmacs though i can understand)
and add me to the list of people who would love if there was a drinks only lane. that said timmy's coffee isn't that great and the lines are always stupid (especially at the university)

You're lucky. The Tim's I go to in Westhills, they don't even acknowledge your existence when you get to the window. They just throw the coffee at you and walk away. Not even one word and they don't even look at you most days.
