If all those law suits are successful it will result in a fitting epitaph for the USA.

Now, now, you people are forgetting the lawyer's fees involved! Depending on how they are allowing him to pay, he's either only getting 2.7 quadrillion after they take their 10 percent, or - if they are billing him hourly - he could end up with absolutely nothing.

Yes, lets blame the United States Federal Goverment for...

...Complete state and city mismanagment of the Levees.

...The complete stupidity to build a city with inadequate levees inside a major flood plane.

...The general state of laziness within New Orleans.

...Corrupt cops within New Orleans.

Unless the US has changed since I went to school, are States not autonomous with the Federal Government handling international and state to state issues?

Intrastate issues are the not the Feds direct problem (ie the levees). The do have a different system of Government than we have here.

I believe they have already accepted blame for that.

Can you imagine the settlement discussions?

"Hey' let's meet half way, we'll take 1.5 quadrillion!"

Best line of the article,

"A stack of one quadrillion pennies would reach Saturn."

First things first: Square one was the best.

Secondly, this story gives me the oddest flashback to a Chappelle Show skit . . . 10 points to anyone who figures it out.

Life wouldn't have been the same without Mathnet.

Mathnet was awesome. I think I used to only watch that show because I knew there was one episode where they got in their car and sped to the scene of a math crime.
