I might play if you are desperate, and this isn't too serious (ex. no embarrasing stat-keeping). You see, I probably can't hit too good.

Okay, let's go over the ground rules.
You can't leave first until you chug a beer.
Any man scoring has to chug a beer.
You have to chug a beer at the top of all odd-numbered innings.
Oh, and the fourth inning is the beer inning.

I'd be down. Haven't played ball in a few years, but should be decent.

Looks like I'm a little late to the party. I'll be on a team this summer, just don't know which one. A CP team would be cool. If anyone drops out, I'm in. And I know a female that will be in too.

My girlfriend used to play baseball so I could probably get her in on this too.

If getting ladies proves difficult (as it probably is for most CPers), would it be a bad idea to have a men's team? I would prefer to be completely outclassed and outplayed on the field by another dude than by a woman. Call me old fashioned.

Mixed leagues are way more fun. Mens leagues are full of those guys that must win. Jim Rome affectionately refers to them as 'softball guy'.

I miss playing. I might take it up again in a couple of years, got too much invested in cycling this year.

This is a baseball thread so if you can't even get the right sport analogy then how are you going to play haha!

And this is important: I am just getting a list of people who are interested (read this 4X4) so when the time comes if we get confirms enough to make 2 teams, then we will, otherwise one giant team with a bunch of maybes. It's still in the planning stages. GO CP GO.

Also we are going to get shirts made up with numbers... and of course instead of dumbass nicknames like "beer-chugger" and "big johnson" we will have our dumbass CP names like "CaptainCrunch". All the other teams will fear us for that reason alone. (note if you CP name is beer chugger then you will get that jersey!)

I'd definately consider playing, but I'll warn you now, I'm more a competitive drinker than I am a pro softball player.

I once rounded third wide to slam a beer before crossing home plate.

'twas a thing of beauty.

Plus, the other team really underestimates you if you tend to hurl on home plate.

Its all about the competitive advantage.

In my experience, lots of people like to talk about playing but when the day arrives, few actually show up.
For me, ideal day is sunday. If this team plays on a weeknight I'll be a gameday decision.
