Planning a Mexican Wedding

I'm getting married in Cuba next month (Feb. 13th) -- we found a great travel agent (I'm in Toronto and so is she, however we never met...) who specializes in destination weddings and speak/writes fluent Spanish. She's been a huge help in negotiating prices/deal with the various tour companies and working with the wedding coordinator at the resort -- there's no cost to us as she makes her commission from the packages she sells. We have ~25 people coming from across Eastern Canada and a few from Europe... so it was a bit of a challenge to coordinate everything and she's done a wonderful job for us and saved us a ton of money by booking at the right time.

Beachy has great advice above -- I'd just add that it was very helpful for us to find a great agent who did a lot of work on our behalf (I can PM her details to you if you'd like).

We went to a very nice wedding at Bahia Principe, Tulum. The wedding was near the beach, and was a bit windy. Otherwise, very nice.

I do remember there being a lot of red tape for the couple - blood tests, forms etc, but the resort was quite helpful with all that.

You can have a seperate reception back home for those that can't make it to the wedding.
