Do production companies honestly think that the public masses will think "OMG, this movie won't be released on DVD, we'd better rush out right now and watch it!"
This has been driving me nuts for years now.
If anyone can explain this, please enlighten me.
End of small rant.

In the 90's when I worked at Blockbuster I would on occasion have people show up asking for a movie that had just been released in the theaters. Usually asking "I saw an AD for so/so movie, are any copies available?"
I really recommend to anyone in their younger years to work in a video store for 1year, you learn incredible patience and come out with 100's of great stories to laugh about later in life
