I generally like Will Ferrell he has a few absolute classics - ie. Anchorman & Old School
but yah, sometimes he is TOO over the top.

ohh, ELF is another great one....a Christmas classic

Adam Sandler movies are hilarious because of the side characters. Chubbs, Steve Buscemi in all his movies, Chris Farley in Billy Madison etc.

Chubbs: But then I had to leave the tour.
Happy: Why? Because you were black?
Chubbs: Hell no! A damn alligator bit my hand off! I got that b____ back though, I took one of his eyes!

I saw Adam Sandler doing standup live before he was famous. He had just gotten the MTV gameshow. He was incredibly funny.

I like Will Ferrell movies. They are great for the $2 I have to pay to see them.

As for funny movies, Wedding Crashers was the funniest movie of the last 5 years IMO.

I'm looking forward to seeing this movie more than Christmas.

I personally like both Sandler and Ferrell. They both have their funny moments and they both have bad moments.

Happy Gilmore and Elf are two of my favroite movies of all time!

I find the pair of them funny but unreliable. There are some actors who almost all of the time are in good movies(Hanks, Ford) with some exceptions of course -- especially some of Hanks more recent ones. But with the likes of Sandler and Ferrell I would never rush out to see one of their movies. Not that I ever do anyway but I would do the wait and see approach with both.

I ended up watching the Frisco kid with Gene Wilder and Harrison Ford last night, and I was amazed that Ford had the comedy chops that he did.

Avram: [Avram and Tommy are cuddled together under a blanket during the blizzard] We are doing this to keep warm, aren't we?
Tommy: Uh-huh.
Avram: In that case, you can put your arms around me.
Tommy: Come here, darling.
