Fruit Flies - How can I get rid of them?

I just made sure all the garbage was in the garbage, then I sprayed the garbage with a healthy dose of air freshner, poisoning there food supply and killing them all in less than a week, took 15 minutes.

Where would you even get a pet bat? Wouldn't they $hit all over the place?
