GM probably blew their movie goodwill budget on Transformers.

This absolutely wrong, horrible. I was looking forward to this new series but after realizing the American car market has almost nothing but retro designs, this is disappointing. In fact, it's probably the ugliest car that I have ever seen.
Bring back the spirit of the 80s, when futuristic was the name of the game. The original KITT was futuristic enough, yet blended in with normal cars like it's supposed to. This new show is going to be utter garbage.
No words can describe my utter digust at the atrocity that this is.

That Shelby KITT is brutal - KITT was about aerodynamic lines, not urban assault vehicle. I hate to see commercial deals cut into such a vital part of the story.
To me, the answer was simple. Corvette Z06.
Minus the bling wheels.
Koenigsessegegeegegegg and the Aston are far too wide to fit in the Trailer. How else will Bonnie fix KITT on the move? And no you can't use a Viper. That's a crappy knowckoff show of it's own.
The Shelby would have been better as KARR. (Knight Industries Roving Robot) Bring on the green scanner.

A black Trans AM WS6 would have fit the bill nicely I believe.

Using a Mustang is just bad, on so many levels. And a nice ricer wing they've got on there too....
Edit: Yes, a WS6 would have fit the bill nicely. But aren't they discontinued?

They even have the scanner completely messed up. Sigh...
I mean if they have to go American, there are still plenty of sleek American cars like the Solstice.
The Mustang is the greatest disgrace on wheels of all time. It's crappy American muscle with annoying ricer body kit. I hope the new show burns out and get cancelled right away.

Ewwww no.
The Shelby mustang as KITT is brutal. The Solstice is just brutal.
Z06 would have been a sweet KITT.

Apparently, Will Arnett (GOB from Arrested Development) is going to be the voice of KITT.
He does a pretty broad range of voice over work, but I know I'll be waiting to hear KITT say, "COME ON MICHAEL!"

Yeah, like I'm going to help out the guy driving a Mustang.. COME ON! Oh wait.
I hope he utters the phrase.. "I've made a huge mistake" that would be the best ever.

Yeah, they haven't been making them for a few years, but there isn't very many of them around, and they do look more futuristic than the new Shelbys, Mustangs and Camaros. I think it would be a good fit because it's the same kind of car as the original KITT, but the most updated version. I doubt GM would be interested in paying anything for a product placement of a discontinued car, so this would never have been an option the way the movie industry is now. I sure love those WS6's though.
