Yeah, last night's episode was awesome, and I understand they're going to give some answers with the finale tomorrow night.

Yup the creators figure they won't be back so they are going to wrap some stuff up.
Too bad because its an outstanding show - well acted, good premise, good writing - solid stuff. But you can't blame NBC - the show should be a good fit to follow Heroes but it loses a massive chunk of that audience each week - which is just not acceptable.
Once again it's the public that sucks.

Season that could be series - NBC has not ordered any more episodes but hasn't officially pulled the plug either.

As it stands now, it's the series finale. The show hasn't been picked up, and most likely won't be, unless the writers' strike last into pilot season (spring).

That's a pity. It was the only new show from this season I was actually watching. And at first I wasn't sold on it, but its been getting better each week, so I keep on watching.
I wonder if they're going to reveal everything or hold back hoping for an order for more episodes.

I think maybe the only way that it will remain is if the writer's strike continues and they need material come next september because there won't be any pilots.

SPOILER
Quick recap he gets sent back to the early 80's where he saves a a mother and her son but loses his a digicam in the process. The digicam gets picked up by the son and he refuses to give it back and when he goes back to the future time has dramatically changed. He now has a daughter instead of his son and technology is way better. A tarot card reader gives his wife a reading and says her life is upside down. When Dan walks in the pyschic freaks out about something before she is forced to leave by the wife (who knows Dan is trying to put things back together but doesn't want anything to change because that is what she knows). He finds out that the son was killed/missing for the camera in the past. He then meets Oliva they go back and find the kid and destroy the camera. This appears to put things back in order but the last scene was Langley saying that he doesn't know who Dan was.
The tarot reader also comes back and tells dan that he was born on a very specific time because or something (I forget) that has only happened one other time back in 1929.

You forgot the most important spoiler of the one time when they travel, Livia shows up in some flimsy lingerie and looks unbelievably awesome.

Well just finished the "finale" and honestly good for the showrunners.
We were given some clues, or enough that i'm not totally pissed off for being left hanging (daybreak anyone????). But not too much that if the show doesn't get cancelled, they can come back with a few episodes.
maybe sci-fi network (NBC sister station) will pick up the series.
here's hoping.

It was really a good episode all around and provided a sense of closure if the show doesn't come back (which seems to be most likely). The last shot of Katie was damned cool.

Moon Bloodgood has no luck.
I can't f'n believe they are cancelling this show. This is one my new favorites. I will stop watching new shows on NBC. They get us to watch their new shows then bail out leaving the viewers unsatisfied. The Black Donelly's and Daybreak are 2 off the top of my head. The Neilsen's ratings system they use is for the 80's. Get with the times already. People watch TV differently now a days! Stupid NBC. At least they were smart enough to renew "Life". That's definitely the best new NBC show of the year.

Great episode and one that will stand up as a series finale should that be the case. The final moment was a perfect way for it to go out.

Day Break was on ABC, but beyond that, your point stands.
All the networks do stuff like this (Fox has been especially bad in recent years - FIREFLY!). Unfortunately, if a show isn't a knockout hit right away, they can't justify spending the money to continue producing new episodes when things might never improve (or at least that's their thinking).
I hope this isn't the last episode, but if it is, it works as a fitting finale. If does get another chance, it's also a chance to go in some interesting directions.

I don't think NBC can be blamed on this one.
It was marketed heavily in the fall lead up
It was given a consistent time slot, not juggled at all (except for this finale)
They gave it a great lead-in: Hero's. And Journeyman couldn't hold that audience despite the fact one would think they are good fits.
Bottom line when people don't watch - shows get cancelled.
Blame the people for not watching.
