Will the Real Canadiens Please Stand Up?[/SIZE]
The Montreal Canadiens of a couple weeks ago showed up to play the Wings. Lead by Radek Bonk who had a goal and two assists on the night, the Bonk-Kozlov-Primeau line was a dominant force. The trio was a combined +12 for the game on route to a 7-2 victory. Bill Geurin made efficient use of his icetime potting two goals in less than 11 minutes.
There were some drastic changes as GM Beerfund sat Martin Brodeur after losing 4 consecutive starts. "We know Marty is a great goalie, the team was playing poorly in front of him. Bad penalties, lazy defense, you name it. It just wasn't fair to Marty. We decided to send a message tonight." Geurin was also absent from the first two lines, seeing only spot duty. "It looks like Bill heard the message load and clear, he was skating tonight, now we'll see if that continues when he's slotted back into the top 6"
The Habs play the second of four games in four nights, GM Beerfund wondered out-loud which team will show.
