I am going to pick up my copy at Video Game Trader on Centre St after work. Give them a call because she was saying that they had a few left.

Got it, played for a couple hours.
AMAZING! Best game in years and I've only scratched the surface. If you have a Wii you need this game NOW. And if you don't have a Wii, go get a Wii, then get this game!

I picked the game up this afternoon from bestbuy. I think all best buys had them early this afternoon.

Completely agree with OutOfTheCube. Best game I've played for the next-gen consoles, better than BioShock or NHL 08 IMHO. I've got Assassin's Creed coming in on Thursday, but considering that I've got tears of squealing laughter drying in the corners of my eyes from playing Mario Galaxy, that Creed game may end up sitting dusty and unused for months.
If you have a Wii you must have this game.

Wow this game is wow! the first 15 minutes blew away all my expectations for this game. I'm even pvr ing the flames game tonite. hehe
Oh also if you buy $100 worth of video games at Toys R Us you get a $20 gift certificate. Not bad getting 20% off a new game.

Uhh, stop it people. You're about to get me to buy a Wii. Pretty much a sequal to Mario 64? I'm about ready to drop $350 for that right...

get your wallet out then and shell out that $350, because the purchase will be worth it. sometimes is just so fun to play and control mario (jumping around, collecting coins, doing stupid things); nice to get away from the everyday shooters with nonstop shooting at random aliens. brings back nice memories (from nes to snes to n64 to gamecube to wii now)

It turns Mario 64 on it's head, literally.
It has you playing games in a whole new way. Absolutely brilliant.
This is going to be all I play until Smash Bros. in February. :P

I'd wait on Assassin's Creed anyways. It's gotten pretty mixed reviews thus far with the major complaint being that the game gets repetitive quickly. That could easily make some of those higher review scores look bad if they didn't put a lot of time into the game. It should still be a good game, but clearly it's not a must-buy AAA title like it was hyped to be.
And I agree - this is the best game I've played in years.

Yeah, I've pre-ordered my AC and paid for it, so there's no turning back now. But my roommate has pre-ordered Mass Effect so there's that to look forward too. But then, I didn't have to shell out that much money for AC and Mario Galaxy because Rogers Video was selling copies of Halo 3 @ 2 for $40 and EB games was giving $50 off for each copy of Halo traded in, so I basically got either Mario or Creed for free.

Colour me impressed - the look, sound and feel of this game is amazing! The fully 3D and gravity effects are insane... so far so good!

I bought it last night, but only had time to play it for 20 mins. I am going to have a chance to really dig into it tonight. I like what I see, so far.

It is great. My wife has never played a video game in her life until last nite. It is also good if you have little kids. The 2nd player doesn't do much, just stun the enemies and increase marios's attack.
