I have a LaCie one as well. 500GB works great.. $119 at futureshop on sale. Only thing I don't like about it is that it needs a power source.. but for that price I couldn't find a better deal.

From my understanding the Lacie 500gb Porsche design drive has either a Hitatchi or Samsung HD inside the enclosure, with the Samsung being the most reliable of the two for this unit.

I personally like Seagate, due to the 5 yr warranty on the Freeagent Drives. For a good deal on these, check out walmart.
