I agree with this. I'd be inclined to start moving my vehicle once I see the person has passed me, where as I wouldn't think about starting to pull out seeing that a person is only seconds away from moving through my vehicles path.

I would challenge everyone who has one to try pulling a stroller, especially with one hand (the assumption being you are turned around enough to still look ahead as you pull. Maybe it's just the wheels on ours but it seems designed to be pushed with two hands. It needs constant correction. Perhaps that is to stop an unattended stroller from rolling down a hill, the wheels would turn sideways immediatley and end any speed from occuring.

Despite what the law may say, the safest way to park in these lots is to back in or if possible drive in to the opposite facing spot so you can drive forwards out. When you back in everyone can see your intentions and driving forward out of the spot gives the driver much better visibility.

Thank you--that is absolutely true.

There is no way it's safer to pull your stroller through a parking lot--you'd have no control over it at all. Not to mention that if you add carrying a bag or two of groceries, that makes it all the worse.

this is why I try to back into the parking spot whenever possible so when I leave I am always facing forward.
