My favorite was getting the chance to make my best friend (major computer geek who no fashion sense) look good for his wedding by picking out his tux, etc.
His fiancee told me to make him look presentable, which I did. I looked better though--gay guy in a tux automatically is the best looking guy in the room
I also pick out engagement rings that will blow the girl's socks off.
As far as picking out a suit, my personal fav right now are deep brown (great for fall, but also work in other month) with a muted blue pinstripe--even better if you can get a twin pinstripe--two parallel stripes that are barely seen. I'm sure there's all types of what is "in" but it's a classic look, and one that won't ever be really out of style. I also think that 3 buttons is the best look for a suit.
