EB games in Southcentre has 2k8. Supposedly 08 will be on the shelves tomorrow, same goes for Future shop on Macleod.

went on lunch to shawnessy, nothing. went to future shop and the lady there said that as soon as they get it it goes on the shelf. could be today, it's in transit.

Well, it's 2:00 which should be the time that if they get them in today that they come. I remember for Gears of War, they came in at 2:00.
Luckly, I got the Call of Duty 4 beta today. That game is amazing.

If anyone stores get it, it will likely be arriving sometime this afternoon. Best Buy got Warhawk in around 4:00pm a few weeks ago and there message to me throughout the day was "Call back later, the game is being shipped and we'll put it on our shelves when it arrives."

I wish I could explain to some of you just how much of a loser I am, but I won't. I've done some serious phone calling today . . . almost every eb i've talked to sounds pretty sure it'll be in tomorrow (one even mentioned there is a 10 am order coming in). The future shops all seem to be saying thursday, but I think they're just covering their hides in case something goes wrong in transit.

Gah, was at BestBuy in Deerfoot meadows... no luck. They said they didnt get their shipment. Which probably means its in the back and people are too lazy to actually put the price tags on them, put them into the system, carry them out to the sales floor.... Sigh.

Anyone try some video stores to rent it? I used to work at Rogers Video and we would get the games a couple days before the release dates but were told not to shelf them until the release date. That being said hardly anyone actually knew what the release date was so the games usually went on the shelves when they arrived...

I guess this would be for the hardcore fan of the game and/or someone that wanted to try it out before they bought it.

I went by the EB at Westbrook on my way home from work and they had a sign that said the 12th, I also asked hte guy in the store and he said tomorrow

If you go on the bestbuy.com website (US Version) it says the 12th as well.

A good animation system, attractive ice, and great crowds make for a game that's pleasing to the eye.

The play-by-play hasn't changed all that much since last year, but it now has a direct correlation to gameplay. The crowd is intelligent and the sounds on the ice are good.

Gameplay
The opponent AI is outstanding. This looks and plays like a real NHL game. It's not perfect, but it's the best AI EA has ever had in a hockey game.

Lasting Appeal
The Dynasty Mode is stronger than ever with better trade logic and pickier free agents. The addition of online leagues and support for 6-player online games is huge.
