Why not a hyundai? The accents and Elantras are pretty affordable. I've also heard that Hyundai's quality has improved a lot. Elantras are pretty quick too.

I was actually at a Chrysler dealership not that long ago, and I was driving a new Elantra (a rental). The salesperson asked me what I thought of it, and I thought it was pretty good. Decent pep and good fuel economy. I was pretty impressed at the acceleration actually.

The salesperson then went on about how much the Hyundais have improved over the years, which I thought was funny because he was a competetor. In fact, there was a Hyundai right next door.

Buy a vehicle that's a couple of years old.

Let the other driver pay for a bulk of the depreciation. Plus you still get a vehicles that's under warranty.

I heard the Hyundai's are really expensive to get fixed after warranty. Parts are pricey.

But i think my next car will be a Hyundai. That vera cruise looks awesome. Better then the Lexus.

Just bought a loaded 95 Acura legend with 81000 km for $10k. If you can find an older Acura/Lexus with low km's on it its hard to go wrong...

Good thing the warranty lasts for 5 years.

I loved the Veracruz that I test drove.

If you're willing to buy in the US, I don't think you'll get more bang for your buck under $20k then a Hyundai Sonata. A full size car that is well built and well equipped for the price of an compact.
