I actually prefer Bourne. I'm not a huge fan of Bond, though the "re-loading" of the series with Casino Royale was rather good. It was my favorite 007 movie.

Probably because Casino Royale was a better movie than most of them have been in the past few years. The Bond gadgets are neat, but there have been a few movies where gadgets and chases are more important than the story being told. Casino Royale was more balanced in that respect, which made for a better movie and a better Bond.

I agree that Casino Royale was better than any Bond in years, but put any of the other Bond actors in the role, and Craig would be the lesser actor imo.

I think it's between Bauer and Bourne. Both are experts at hand to hand combat, specifically Krav Maga. Both use to belong to elite special operation units. Both are loners, and both fight like they have nothing to lose. If Bauer and Bourne teamed up, no one can stop them.

That only works if both Bauer and Bourne are ######ed. Unfortunately, they're both pretty cunning and deceptive. Bond would have to outwit them to do that. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening because I think all 3 of them are at their peak intelligence. James Bond seems to get himself into a lot of bad situations (mostly because of women), but he manages to get out using his wit. However, Bauer and Bourne tend to avoid those situations altogether.

Well then clearly, if both Bauer and Bourne are after Bond, he's smart enough to get himself out of the situation as he's had a lot of practise.

Not really. Bond should have died a million times over. His adversaries are dumbass monologue spewing morons who waste too much time talking about themselves than killing bond. Bauer and Bourne don't do that. They just kill you right away.

Well I've never seen Bourne or Nauer in action so I'll have to take your word for it. I still think that Bond could get away with his gadgets... he always does.

Bauer is more bad-ass, but Bourne is a walking weapon.

As much as I like Bond, I just don't see him beating these guys, and for the record, I thought D. Craig was a great reinvigoration (if that's a word) of Bond, but even he wouldn't stand a chance. Do you see Bourne having that much trouble with the lazy-dude-with-hot-wife who tries to stab him in the exhibit? No chance.

My vote is for Bourne. The first Bourne movie was awesome (unfortunately, the other two were mediocre). But I find all Bond movies to be terrible and 24 is a mediocre show at the best of times.

So for my money, Bourne wins for entertainment value.
