With Centre Ice, it's like I never left.

Tornado watch for
Airdrie - Cochrane - Olds - Sundre continued

Funnel clouds have been reported west of Didsbury.

Conditions are ideal for the formation of funnel clouds in the Airdrie area. Funnel clouds have been reported to the west of Didsbury and the potential for funnel clouds remains this afternoon.

Well, they are cold core funnels. Not the exciting kind that come from supercell storms. The chances of cold core actually doing any damage is almost zero but I thought Id post the warning anyway.

I hate this. I'm trying to finish painting my deck and haven't been able to because of all the weather. Damn that oil based paint with it's 16hr dry time.

j/k......I think I threw up in my mouth a bit from saying that....
It will be the winter of your discontent Ozy_Flame! You will not live to see the first snows this season, for you are my sworn nemesis, and I must strike you down!

Today was rather tepid, with a mild torrent of moisture at about eleven bells.

You seem like the resident weatherologist (i know), does humidity increase or decrease the relative temperature on the ground.

I.E. even though it says 'feels like', does the humidity actually alter the temperature in a substantial way?

That is actually a fairly complicated question...

edit: Actually, I went into a big nerd-fueled explanation but I guess the bottom line is that high humidity not only makes a person feel hotter but I believe it will also increase the air temperature.

Because the moisture holds more heat than the air does.

Here's a cold-air / cold-core funnel that would have been typical for today's weather, and probably what brought the warning. Captured this one on photo near Lethbridge a few years back.
