Not that difficult a course.
The Last hole on the back 9 is a stupid 107 yard par 3 to an Island green it's not a bad hole just not a good hole for the last hole of the round, I played last Saturday I'll be there this Saturday as well, otherwise the rest of the course is pretty nice, much prefer the front 9 to the back though.

I was disappointed with that hole. The green was riddled with ball marks.

There's a nice little course near morley that I golfed at last month. I can't remember the name, it's not hard to find though.

Anyone have anything to tell me about Confederation golf course?

If not, any other Courses in the NW that are cheap and of reasonable quality?

Looking to try something new. Thanks

confed. park ain't great. it's a 9-hole muni-course.

for the NW, try lynx ridge. nice little track and very well priced, especially if you're only playing 9.

It was in excellent shape on Saturday. Although they are redesigning because it was 137 yards from the whites, and the sign showing the layout (and the yardages) were different than where the tee boxes actually were. The Whites were moved well back, it was 130+ yards. There was still a 108 yard hole - North 6.

Many of the greens had ball marks, but it was largely because they were VERY soft and very fast. Balls landing were actually tearing a small junk of the turf. It was pretty easy to fix. Overall, the greens were in excellent condition.

I'm looking forward to playing the course again.

Next time head a little further down the highway to Nanton. They have an awesome golf course.

Yeah I enjoyed myself on Saturday as well, I think they should make the North 9 the permanent front 9 because that hole isn't anywhere near as bad when you have 9 more holes to go, didn't play overly well but on the 7th hole, I almost drove the green with a 3 wood had a huge wind behind me.
I'd agree with Dion Nanton is a really nice course.

It's also a case of people not fixing their ball marks. Something that I found annoying about that course. Still, like you said, a very nice track to play on.

On the South #8, the par 3 with the raised green (I guess it is a new green?), I thought I hit a pretty good shot. When I got to the green, my ball was 2" behind the hole . It was a nice way to end the day.(well, I got par on #9, but the memorable hole was #8)

The only annoying thing was there was a group of 3 in carts behind us, and they were playing a scramble. They were on our ass all day, and hit into us a couple times.

Has anyone played Boulder Creek out in Langdon yet?

Was out there looking at the new houses on the course with the wife last week. The course looks nice, no trees yet, but it sure was busy.

Yeah that south #8 has that 2nd green, the weekend before I was commenting on how the Sand Traps were useless unless they had a green up there. Group in front of us were 2 guys and 2 girls who didn't know how to keep the pace of place up, it was alot of waiting on some holes.

Not to go OT, but what are houses running out there?

Actually, I don't mind Confed for what it is. Some actual challenges to the course, whereas Shag's Back 9 should properly be called a Par 3.

Went to the Canals of Delacour a month ago and thought it should be renamed the Mosquito Breeding Facility of Delacour. Maybe I've been spoiled lately, but I though the course was nothing special, somewhat of a goat track.

Nanton's mascot is a mosquito isn't it? Is it still by the treatment facility?

Regretably, I don't get to golf much lately, so it's more of a quality vs quantity thing for me.
