No, we bailed after we lost our 1230 playoff game. Maybe it was the team with the full length painted team bus. That's hardcore.

just bumping this thread as Canada's largest slo-pitch tournament is getting closer.
I am, of course, talking about the Edson Kinsmen Slo-pitch tourney.
My band is playing on friday night.
I am just wondering if any CP'ers are coming up for the tourney?

My team is heading up from Red Deer again this year. What's the name of your band? I'm really looking forward to BC/DC on Saturday but I'll come and check you guys out too.

FKA I thought the same thing too......and was abou to sound off on "pitching" isnt hard comment.....then I saw 2007. They must of smartened up by now, or got "piped" before and realized pitching isnt so easy. It's actually quite dangerous to pitch, just ask my shins!!!

I've been hit more places than I have places.... my shins are permanently blackened...

Anyone stupid enough to pitch better have a GREAT glove hand and an overall keen sense of reflex, otherwise they are dead. Let alone being able to actually pitch, which is an art form.

I have "struck out the side" in our Sunday night league once. Tough to do even with a third strike foul being out... But I have also come within one strike a couple times in leagues that don't have that rule.

"Just flip your wrist a bit" is funny, rubecube... almost as funny as you indicating you are a "ringer".

Hell, one team in our Sunday night league had TWO ex-MLB players on it. Now THEY are ringers. Let alone the countless ballplayers who are exceptionally gifted that I have seen over the years.

Hey Brian and Aeneas , you guys should come down for a big tourney my team goes to usually every year. It is in Wichita, Kansas and its called smoke eaters. Its a fundraiser tourney for children burn victims. I know you guys arent any good at softball but.... on the saturday night games they pull in Keg trailers and for 10 bucks you get all you can eat burgers and all you can drink beer... it would be right up ya'lls alley.. HAHA... i cant remember if i have mentioned it before or not but ever since hearing ya'lls stories at Petes Pub i think of you guy when the tournament comes up lol ......

wear shin guards and a mask.... or smarten up ... i mean hell if you can find 3 fast outfielders and run a 5 man infield......... If you watch an high level softball , at least in the states you will see most teams running a 5 man.... Hell when we went to "C" world we were the only team not running a 5 man . After our pitcher got blown up a couple times we went to the 5 man and they stopped hitting the middle

Oh the irony...
