I find the big difference between a Strat and a Les Paul is the fingerboard. Strats have a radiused fingerboard and Le Pauls are generally flat. Big difference to the feel. Weight also, as has been mentioned. Les Pauls are tanks.

That's what I want..the baby blue one was awesome. I currently own a mexican Fender Telecaster, and a Norman acoustic guitar..both budget guitars but do the trick for me.

My baby is a 2006 Gibson SG Classic with P-90 pickups. I will give you one guess who my guitar idol is. I also own a black Fender Strat that I need to re wire.

I have wierd guitars and I'm self-taught via the internet so I'm not very good.

My electric is actually a Fernandes Nomad travel guitar which is handy since I'm far from home right now and it has a built in amp and effects system, even with a drum machine.

My acoustic guitar is an Ibanez Talman. I think I need to get lighter gauge strings on it.

I would love to get something like a Fender Sunburst strat with a thin V-neck on it but I can't find one in Calgary. Does anybody know any big guitar shops in Montreal that I could check out that has A LOT of selection? I'll be here for another week. Also, anybody have any suggestions for a good guitar teacher in Calgary? I think I need some actual lessons because I've hit the wall with this self-taught thing.
