Sure Burris wasn't great but there are bigger issues and more important areas to address than the QB position.
Burris is far from holding this team back form winning games. Unless the defense and special teams pick it up we won't win whether we have 0 or 10 turnovers.

You can blame the defense all you want. They stopped the lions at 2 and out several times in the 4th quarter and when you are on the field as much as they were in the third it is unfair to expect them to hold the BC Lions offense (I thought 14 points was not bad considering). Wether you want to believe it or not, this team is built for offense. Most teams in the CFL dream of the Calgary Stampeders receiving core yet the team can't put points up on the board until late.
You will likely argue that well the only reason we are still in the games so close to the end is because of some of Burris' plays. That of course is true remembering the ridiculous throw to Copeland etc. However, wether you want to admit it or not, he forces the play ALL THE TIME. When one of our receivers comes through and makes a miraculous grab or for once he puts the ball exactly where its needs to be its pretty much highlight reel. Those watching objectively at those times will ask the same question then as when he gets picked....why does he force the ball into low percentage areas.
He reminds me of the talented High School quarter back that needs to get on the field and throw a hail marry right after the other team scored in the hopes of getting the team back to even right away. Even the CFL is a game of patience, momentum and possesion. Not this nonesense he is (literally) throwing around.
