I've never had a Pizza 73 that I liked.
When i lived in On, Pizza Pizza used to be cheap and good for the price (you could get better pizza, but you paid for it).

I have yet to find a great pizza place..
Edit: Shockingly the best I've seen was this little place in India.

Last time I had Pizza Pizza was back in "99. It wasn't bad, IIRC. But what is the difference between Little Ceasar's and Pizza Pizza?

I never order from the chain pizza places, piss poor quality. They scrimp everywhere they can to make an extra penny.
Nick's, Volo's and Vern's. That's the way to go.

I find Verns to be a good quantity deal, but also low on quality. The best pizzas in town I've had are:
Thick Crust: Spiros (on 17th a few blocks west of 14th)
Thin Crust: Il Centros by Chinook station.

I ordered punjabi style once and it was too spicy for me. I eat tons of spicy food, but it was over the top for my liking. Not good for the bowel movements either.

The only time I order from Pizza Pizza is when it's the only option. Not very good pizza in my opinion. The ma and pa shops consistently put out better pizza than these huge chains.

Wait a second. People were eating at Pizza 73 before?!
Last time I ate their pizza I spent the next couple hours in the bathroom refunding that pizza. I felt just terrible for 2 days. I've never thrown up because food any other time.

Pizza 73 is brutal pizza, even worse than pizza hut or dominoes. Its like eating soggy cardboard with ketchup on it.

I personally have a hard time eating Pizza Pizza, or at least the one at UofC.
The crust is dry and too crunchy. Plus there are not a lot of toppings. And usually the slices are cold when they re-heat it, but I'm assuming it's due to their impatience when attempting to clear the lineup at school.
Anyway even when it's fresh, I don't really like it. Just a dry breaded pizza.

I had Pizza Pizza at the ACC and Skydome when I was in Toronto, but it didn't really impress me. On the other hand, it was better than any Pizza 73 I've ever had.
In the grand scheme of things, this will have no effect on me because I would never order from 73, and don't foresee ordering from Pizza Pizza.

Pizza Pizza is a good, cheap chain pizza. Nothing special about it but a good value. Far, far better than Pizza73 and it stays open late which is key. All things considered, Pizza Pizza is a big step up from Pizza73.
I actually missed Pizza Pizza at times when I moved out west.

One pizza place I never ate pizza from has been bought by another pizza place I will never eat pizza from. My world is shattered. Irreparably.
