Regicide....now if I had thought of that I would've began laughing uncontrollably with thoughts of our own Reg Dunlop meeting his demise (not for real of course, his cp persona!). Regicide...that's a fun word.
Let's see....golf.....
I'm a hack. I love the game. I don't totally suck...but I am a hack. I don't get to play very often...yet. That day is coming. In any case, about 15 years ago I was playing here....

We were on hole #1.....

I get up and hit my tee shot...right into the sun. Neither my buddy or I saw it. At that time I had a tendency to slice so I began going up the right side looking for the ball. Looked and looked and couldn't find it. Found a few other balls in OB keeping my attention away from the fairway. My buddy hits his ball which we saw land in the fairway and he's over the green just a hair. So, I say screw this out of frustration and decide I'm done with #1 as there were some people getting ready to tee off. I walk up the fairway dead center while my buddy is going around the left side of the green to find his ball. There right on the apron is a ball. No, it can't possibly be mine....
A. I have never hit a golf ball that far in my life
2. I have never hit one that straight with a driver
Sure enough...my ball. I about peed myself. Roughly 300 yard drive right down the middle. Then, I proceeded to 3 putt and ruin my chance for birdie.
Another time, I was 18 I think and my Dad was out of town. I decided to take his Ford Ranger 4X4 'exploring'. I started down this dirt 'road' and was working my way down into a fairly deep ravine. I got to a hairpin and the truck wouldn't fit around it. The elevation dropped significantly right at the turn too and I started sliding....sphincters tightened, sweat began to drip and my heart must've been pounding like never before. Somehow I was able to get it stopped before I went totally over the edge...with the emergency break. I ended up getting out of it with some pretty smart driving tactics that I had never used before (I was NOT an experienced offroad driver) and when I was out of the clear I was pretty impressed with what I had done. I probably wouldn't have died or anything, but that truck would've. I'll have to tell my Dad about that one of these days!
