I don't know, I think the turnout will be high everywhere. I don't think most voters actually think about it the way I described above.

and Daradon, don't get me wrong....I'm voting no matter what. It's important. Besides, there are lots of important local races and a Senator to try and oust....and a Congressman to support.

There is one thing I have no doubt about though, my Dad is a better man than either candidate.
Yeah I had the feeling you were oging to vote, and with how much you get into the political discussions it's pretty much a given that you support the system. (at least until something better comes along... ) I was just kinda usuing your argument as example for those that WOULD say there is no point in voting. Didn't mean to suggest you wouldn't, just sharing my feelings on why I would, in response to your specific comment.

We don't usually get to voe on multiple leaders or races or whatever here in Canada (unless it's local elections or a question is added to the ballot) so yeah, the fact that you will be casting in three races makes it that much more important.

Yeah, it's a common excuse...although after 2000 probably somewhat less common...'my vote doesn't matter'.

I wish I were only voting on 3 races. It'll probably be closer to 30.

Anyone have stats on Canadian's average preferences? Might be interesting to see how Calpuckers vote as oposed to the 'average' Canadian.
Well I would venture a guess that CP'ers being mostly from Alberta are fairly conservative. However our conservative views are still on about Kerry's level. Canada is much more liberal and probably would rather have someone in power more liberal than Kerry.... I see the spectrum like this

Bush---------------------------------Kerry/Harper-----------------------------------Martin [/b][/quote]
I would bet, in this particular poll that Kerry runs away a clear runner. The people unhappy with the regime are more likely to speak out, than those who are ok with it or happy with it. Like me for instance, I voted Bush, but I don't feel a need to make posts to bitch about Kerry because I am satisfied with the way things are, I don't have a strong enough hate for anyone or thing to speak up about it.

Although Id bet that like you said, a majority of Cpers are conservative, and might be more likely to vote Bush (I know you didn't say the 2nd half), this poll will be mostly voted on by those who feel strongly for there hate for Bush and the need for change.

Interesting to see the result none the less, but I bet in this poll Kerry wins by a wide margin.
