Back to answering the originators question, yes I have used it for storing photos while on Vacation. Saved me from having to lug around a laptop. I have the Zen Vision W 30GB

A couple of notes though

- If your camera does not use compact flash, you will have to get a compact flash adapter. I just ordered the one directly from the Creative website

- When transferring photos keep in mind that there is a limit to the amount of photos that can be stored in one directory. Everytime you transfer photos, a new directory named after the date and time of transfer is created. Instead of formating the memory card after transferring the photos I just happily kept adding photos to the memory card. That is when I discovered that the directory only holds 300something files the rest did not transfer.

For vactions applications like this, it's great!

BTW I did choose this over the Ipod
