There's only 1 Gap.
The mall has done a good job attracting bigger name, including some higher end stores in the past 2 years (Zara, Miss Sixty, Marciano, Bose, Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, Lacoste, French Connection UK, Urban Outfitters, Bebe, Forever 21, G-Star Raw, H&M, Mardiana Duck, Harry Rosen, Gold's Gym).
When I'm in Edmonchuk, that's where the kids want to go. They want to go to the waterpark or Galaxyland or watch the sea lions. No doubt about it. The Wife wants to go shopping at these stores which make their entry into Alberta via WEM. Me? I'm just fine with my froot of the loom t-shirt. Malls aren't really my thing, but I can understand why for some people WEM is the place to be. Having been there countless times, obviously it's not the same thing for me as someone who goes there for the first time or once a year.
Personally, I'm a bigger fan of South Edmonton Common. Lots of outlets (and being cheap, that's a benefit) IKEA, Best buy, Home depot, NIKE Store, Tommy Hilfiger outlet, Guess outlet, MeXX, Jacob outlet, Aldo Outlet, Buffalo outlet, HMV, La Senza (the wife), Wal Mart Supercenter, Superstore, Cineplex Odeon, London Drugs, Old Navy, Indigo, Stiches, Michaels, etc. over 3.2M square feet. IMO it is not far behind WEM in terms of options for the middle working class. Gets difficult in the winter time though going outside from shop to shop.
As for this mega mall, I've been reading in the paper it's expected to be delayed. Can anyone confirm that?
