In the words of Nelson Munch, I can think of at least two things wrong with that title.

I definitely second the a$$hole recommendation, though. Just make sure everyone is clear on the house rules before playing, because it seems there are so many variations to how gameplay actually works.

I always liked Balderdash...it isn't really an adult game but it is so much fun!

You could turn the lights off and play "Who's in my mouth?"

Mario Kart 64!

I found my old N64 about a month ago so i bought Mario Kart 64 on ebay for about £3.00. Me and my wife and 6 friends (2 couples, 2 single guys) played Mario Kart all night but with shots involved. Before each race we made 3 shots. One half shot, one full shot and a full double shot. The winner drinks nothing, 2nd does the small one, third the single and last place has to down the double. Everyone loved the game and we didn't stop till about 3am when one of the guys (who came last every race!) fell asleep. It was such a laugh to play as the game is easy to grasp, drinking makes everything fun and tthere is so much banter druring the races with all those shells flying around. Playing again friday (the wifes idea this time) with 9 people.

Other games to play are Articulate but you don't need to buy the board game you can jut make your own cards. It is quite simple really. Its like Taboo (see first reply) but you can say whatever you want. You can only guess from the category you are on like nature, geography, movies etc. The first team to get to say 100 wins. Gets great when you are drunk.

Charades is good also and so is twister and naked twister but i haven't played that since i was single.

Some of the other drinking games i have played that were so funny was the one where you stick a card to your head and you must bet who has the lowest card. Make sure there are no mirrors around so no one knows what card they have stuck to there forehead but you can see everyone else's. Then you bet like poker until you show cards. Pictionary is fun too. DVD film quizzes are not bad either but can be too slow. Depends on how much fun you want to have vs how much you want to win a meaningful competition.

The best games are ones where you can split it evenly men vs women as both really want to win but its still fun.

Alcohol makes nearly all the games fun if everyone is drinking.

Magic.

That wasn't fun. It left a bitter taste.

Kirk: Ah, come on Luanne, you know what this is.
Luanne: Kirk, I don't know what it is.
Kirk: [sighs] It could not be more simple, Luanne. You want me to
show this to the cat, and have the cat tell you what it is?
'Cause the cat's going to get it.
Luanne: I'm sorry, I'm not as smart as you, Kirk. We didn't all go to
Gudger College.
[timer dings]
Kirk: It's dignity! Gah! Don't you even know dignity when you see
it?
Luanne: Kirk, you're spitting.
Kirk: Okay, genius, why don't you draw dignity.
[she does so]
[everyone gasps in recognition -- we can't see it, however]
Hibbert: Worthy of Webster's.
