THE THRASHERS WOULD LIKE TO ANNOUNCE THAT THEY HAVE GIVEN GM SUTARIA A 1 YEAR CONTRACT EXTENSION

(AP -Atlanta)

After leading his team to the playoffs and currently up 2 games to 1 in the 2nd round of the playoffs, the Thrashers have signed GM Sutaria to a 1 year extension at 1 billion dollars.

"I love being a part of this organization and I think i've done a good job with this club. It's been a challenge. We will discuss this more at a later time as the focus right now is on the Florida Panthers. We have a big game vs them on Monday. I'm looking forward to bringing success to Atlanta and to be here long term. I'd like to thank the organization for this extension". - GM Sutaria

The Nordique are not interested in brining in Mr. Sutaria into the organization at this time.

Why would they? They don't like to win in Quebec. Losing is an important part of the storied Nordique franchise.
