I've had it for a few years, I think it'll be time for an upgrade sometime this year.

I just checked...
that 350 can haul over 19,000lbs
ram 3500 heavy duty tops out at like 16,500 which is like the dodge equivalent.
Whats your truck?

What are peoples take on cars that are suggested to take only 91 or higher octane gas?
Does it actually matter? I've been putting in regular lately and the car doesn't run any differently. Gas is just too much money on the west coast right now.

Your cars engine is designed and tuned to take whatever gas the owners manual recommends. I've heard of people getting worse mileage when they use a lower octane gasoline when their car is spec'ed for a higher one. I highly suggest that you use what the manual says you should use.

Really? Wow, it's got less HP than mine, but I'm not sure on the torque.
2007 GMC Sierra 2500, Duramax 6.6 turbo diesel, extra cab. I've never bothered to check the towing capacity, I was only interested in payload which is around 3200lbs.

Yea I've heard about the lower milage part, but I've tested it running a full tank of each...I actually got about 10 more km on the lower octane, but I did a bit more highway driving with that tank. If it was a new car I'd be more careful about it...but when there's already 114 000 km on the engine I'm less inclined to worry about getting the highest performance out of it.
That said, I should probably just listen to the manual.

Quite a few truck owners on here. I've always wanted to get a ridiculously huge truck... seems like it'd be super fun to drive around in peering down at everyone!!
