Munroe absolutely robbed Reed Johnson of at least extra bases. Wow.

3-3 in extra innings. Johnson just got jobbed on an infield hit. 5-3 now for the Jays going to the bottom of 10. Glaus got a gift 0-2 change up with the bases juiced and one out to bring in the go ahead run and than Rios grounded out to bring in Wells to plate the insurance marker.

Ryan pumps one down the middle on an 0-2 count, somehow called a ball, then polanco singles on the next pitch.
Ryan K's Sheffield, 2 down.

Guillen flys out, Blue Jays win. Frasor gets the win, Ryan the save.

Kudos to Janssen for coming in and completley shutting down the Tigers for 2 1/3 innings. They had the momentum and he put a stop to it.
Player of the game = Casey Jannsen

I'm glad we got off to a good start. Never a bad time to make up some ground on those Damn Yankees

Never a bad thing when you get a W on opening day.
The Tigers do have a one hell of a team though, one of the best lineups in the entire league, to go along with a sick young pitching staff

Jamie Campbell and Pat Tabler were gushing over how good the Detroit lineup is, but I'm really not that sold on them.
Magglio Ordonez and Gary Sheffield are too inconsistent to form a stable middle order. I'll take Johnson-Overbay-Wells-Thomas-Glaus-Rios anyday over Granderson-Polanco-Sheffield-Ordonez-Guillen-Pudge.

I think Toronto has a slight edge over Detroit in terms of there respective lineups, but the Toronto bats know that almost every game there gonna have to be on, unlike the Tigers who have one of the best young group of pitchers in the major leagues to help them out.

Good win today! I'm interested to see how the next 2 games go. I want to see how Burnett and Chacin fair. We all know Halladay will be on this year as usual but I want to see if both Burnett and Chacin can stay healthy, and how they fair all year. No better time then their first starts. GO JAYS!

Did anyone catch "The Season - '07 Jays"?
Pretty good show, and is going to be on once a week. Gives us a behind the scenes look at the players and team.
