Come on now... archery can't be that hard, can it? Ping pong? I could do that... Shooting? I can't see any of those taking great athletic ability.

Don't flame me for this...but how hard can ballroom dancing be? Sure, it's not the most athletic of competitions, but think of the chicks!
guess it's not a team sport, but still...

Are you serious? All of those sports are very highly competitive. Even the Canadian champion in table tennis is damn good. It would be 15-0, 15-0, 15-0.

And Calf, I would love to see you try ballroom dancing.

I am holding out for Belly Baseball to be an official olympic sport. Afterall Tug of War is a recognized sport and the key to that is having the fatest guy at the end of the rope.

When I was about 14 I went to a table tennis camp (I was really into it at the time) and one of the guest instructors was a former world champ. They let each of us rally with him for a bit.
The spins and velocity those guys use is simpy unreal. Pretty cool stuff.

Unfortunately however, there are other Canadians who do those things. We need to find something Canadians have never even heard of, let alone do. That's where handball comes in. It seems a handful of CPers already have the fundamentals from school. All we need to do is get to the Olympics, nothing more. If we are inspirational enough, Disney will make a movie about us and we will be forever rich. So yes, let's be inspirational too.

It really is a perfect Disney movie for the 21st century.
Down on their luck internet message boarders form a rec handball team. They go on to international olympic glory, where in the movie 1 member of the team narrarates the whole thing in his best Morgan Freeman impersonation.

I don't know how serious you are about this, but after watching that video and reading up on it, I really want to play handball. It shouldn't be that hard to book a gym, and round up enough people for two teams, so I am hoping you are serious enough to give this a shot.

I am dead serious, however you guys might have to make a go of it yourselves until I get back to Canada in June. Maybe I will try to find some weekend handball here in the meantime.

I'm definitely game for this. You could probably contact the CBE (calgary board of education just in case you didn't know what I was talking about) and ask to rent one of the gyms in one of the schools.

Well, there's 14 players needed for a team so how about we get 15 or so out (two goalies so we can have a game of it)
Why don't you update the front page with people who are wanting to do this.

Well, since it's a men's sport, I'm apparently out. Lame. I could help with practices though. Perhaps you need a towel girl? A general manager? I could do that.
