Sorry to bump an old thread, but I was just saw this write up of the Australia vs. New Zealand match (TSN - LINK) and I thought that this was just such a great quote:

''I'd rather be in our room than theirs,'' Australia captain Ricky Ponting said. ''They'll be having all sorts of meetings over the next few days to talk about today's game. We'll be having a beer tonight.''

Sounds like the Australians might be a bit confident?!

Well the Aussies won it, wasn't the best WC due to the ICC restrictions, that took away the special West Indian spirit and the high ticket prices.and a shame to see Lara retire,best batsman in the world IMHO.of course the Indians wuld disagree.
