So, yeah, HD is only 720p and higher.

I switched from PS2 to XBox 360.
There is basically no real difference in graphical ability, with some articles stating that 360 will still have a slight edge.
PS3 can not do 1080i, so if your TV is only 480p and 1080i (an older HD TV), then you are buying a next gen system for essentially standard resolution.
Finally, XBOX is targeted towards NA males between the ages of 15-30ish. So there games will be more targeted to a guy like myself. Sony targets there games to all ages and demographics. You like role-plyaing games? Then Sony is likely for you.
I have Gears of War and Call of Duty 3. No regrets so far.

I have a 360 and Wii. Happy with both for completeyl different reasons. 360 is really more for hardcore gaming. The Wii is great if you want to play a few games of virtual tennis or bowling with the wife. A fun little escape. Though Zelda is great. Keep in mind it isn't all about graphics...it's about good games with good storylines and gameplay.
IMO right now the PS3 has games that look good but that's about it. Beyond one game there isn't much that keeps you coming back for more. So If i were to spend the money today i would still buy a 360 and Wii. A year from now...who knows.

I picked up a 360 for the sports games which are awesome, especially the sound quality if you have a good HT setup. A friend of mine started me playing Rainbow Six, and I must say I am addicted to that game, absolute blast.

I love playing sports games so I got a Wii. Controlling the movement of actually playing the game takes sports games to another level on the Wii. Yes, the graphics aren't as good but I'm having much more fun playing Madden on the Wii than I ever did on the PS2. The Wii's price point is also a big plus.
That said, if you're into role playing or shooting games, get into a 360. I've been a playstation guy for years - and have never even played an XBOX - but have not heard much of anything good about the PS3 besides the graphics. The games are still the same tired old games and similar controls as the PS2.

If your tired with the same old video games and want something new and innovative get the Wii.
If you're happy with the current status quo of video games get a PS2 or Xbox360.

Hard to say. It's easier to state at this point which gaming system to avoid - the PS3. Give it a year, though, and there will be something for just about anyone on all three major game systems.
Fish an Atari 2600 out of your basement, you'll porbably be happier.

I have both the WII and I just got the 360, WII is the most fun instantly, but using the 360 as a media centre box is awesome.
Hook that baby up using some powerline ethernet adapters and you are good to go.
I would say 360 60% WII 40%

Wii is great for busy people. Turn it on and play instantly. Cheap and fun...
Xbox 360 is great, but how is it different from a PC?
Get a Wii and get the gory/realistic/war games for PC. Best of both worlds.

Yeah, it all depends on what you're into. For the kind of gaming that I like, it's the Wii, hands down.
That said, I really enjoyed playing Gears of War with a buddy of mine (on his Xbox 360). The game is way too short, but otherwise, it's fantastic.

I have had my Xbox 360 for sometime now. I love the games (sports game are the best), and I love the graphics.
I recommend the 360.

There's games you cant get on the PC. That was really the determining factor in me getting one. There were alot of games I wanted to play but they werent being released on the PC and probably werent ever going to be so I got a 360.

Never knew that game was made for Intellivision. My favorite game for that system is Baseball. Hockey, Football and Boxing were pretty good as well.

The problem with a PC is the newer games need massive horse power from A Computer. A regualr PC will not run them anymore.
My kid has a Xbox 360, the system is pretty good. I am really looking forward when Halo 3 is released.
I am currently playing Golf its a really good game.
