I was at the game tonight. Thought it was very well done. Of course, she could have mispoke the words and I would have had no idea, but she seemed to be very excited at the end (like an gymnast who had just nailed their routine). Pretty cool to be in front of 20,000 people and perform.

She was actually pretty good. And if the home team is undefeated when she sings it, we really should bring her back for the playoffs... Sorry Heather.
I swear, the Canadian anthem is sung in more languages than any other song on earth.

They did show the first 30 seconds or so.

After the Flames were down 2-0 I was tempted to shut the game off. Than I thought about the anthem in cree and how the home team never loses so I better watch the rest of game because the Flames will come back. Good thing I did.

That girl is now 6-0 for the home team when she sings the anthem.

Yeah, I saw it. I was hoping they would and they did, but I can't help but feel bad that the whole thing wasn't shown.

So what did they Say? "Well that's enough of that, lets reminisce about the Leafs victory." Was it at least a tasteful cut?

Well I don't know a whole lot about national anthems but I can tell you that the standard South African national anthem is sung in four languages, one for each verse (and the country has twelve or so official languages).

How many languages is the Swiss anthem sung in. I remember asking the people at the Swiss pavilion at Expo 86 what language they spoke, and they were like...we all speak 5 languages and none of them is the primary one.

I watched the end of the shootout in The Whiskey, and still had time to get another beer and get to my seat before the anthem started.

Well Switzerland has four official languages (French, German, Italian and Romansch). Most of them speak English too.
